![]() Sheri Lynn and Brenda Kay, the Jugg sisters, (yes, they really are sisters), started NashTrash tours back in 1997. Both have been thespians all their lives, (not that there's anything wrong with that). Sheri Lynn was living in Los Angeles, while Brenda Kay was living in Nashville. Both were making a decent living in the entertainment "industry", but they missed each other dearly. Well, one night Sheri Lynn was dining out with her then second husband, may he rest in pieces, when this crazy idea came to her. She started writing on her napkin. Pink bus, call it NashTrash, we'll dig up the dirt on the country stars...spandex, big hair, blue eye shadow. She called Brenda Kay and they both agreed that this was a pretty cool idea. Well, by golly, less than a year later Sheri Lynn and what's his name had moved to Nashville. With the help of their daddy($), the girls opened NashTrash tours in the summer of 1997. And the rest as they say, is musical comedy history. Luckily, Nashville embraced their wacky idea. They were soon featured on local talk shows as well as having write-ups in the local papers. Ten years later and they can add to their resume - appearances on the BBC and ITV in England, a documentary on the life of Hank Snow on the Canadian Broadcasting System, "Emeril" and "Food Fight" on the Food Network, several shows on CMT, The Discovery Channel, Tech TV, strangely enough ESPN, Sirius Radio, and most recently NBC's The Today Show, with Al Roker on the Big Pink Bus and live the next morning with Katie Couric. << Back |
